Technician Recruiter

As Technician Recruiter, you will work independently to ensure that vehicle maintenance vacancies are filled rapidly with high-caliber candidates for locations across the U.S. and Canada. You will also be part of a team that shares new ideas, best practices, and talent resources. Recruiters are responsible for building the reputation of the team as a valuable internal resource for all issues surrounding candidate selection process in addition to positively representing the company to clients and external contacts.

Technician Recruiter Major Responsibilities:

  • Develop a pool of candidates through direct sourcing efforts for several open maintenance and technician positions using online resume databases
  • Partner with hiring managers on job description, posting, and advertisement strategy
  • Run application source reports to determine best use of advertising dollars
  • Participate in weekly regional conference calls to provide recruiting updates to senior leadership and location hiring managers.
  • Participate in weekly recruiting team meetings to discuss updates and ongoing projects
  • Set quarterly recruiting goals and strive to achieve quarterly objectives
  • Submit weekly reports to track new job openings and filled positions
  • Train managers via WebEx on applicant tracking system tools
  • Consult with locations on HR policy, laws, regulations, and internal hiring procedures
  • Perform phone screens and draft candidate summaries when needed
  • Register for and attend job fairs, trade shows, and conferences as necessary
  • Identify new recruiting trends and resources
  • Perform special projects to aid in the attraction and retention of maintenance candidates
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Technician Recruiter Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, management, communications, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of job-related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Sourcing experience required.
  • Excellent project management and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to meet challenges with resourcefulness, generate suggestions for improving work, and develop innovative approaches and ideas.
  • Strong customer service, written communication, record-keeping, and follow-up skills.
  • Willing to work under tight deadlines and maintain exceptional judgment and discretion regarding sensitive matters.
  • Work with the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% to job fairs, conferences, and/or field locations.
